Reproductive Reflexology (or Reproflexology) uses specific and prescriptive treatment protocols to address fertility health for both men and women. The treatments use techniques that aim to support people suffering from reproductive conditions, alleviating symptoms and helping couples to improve their chances of conceiving. This method of reflexology has been developed by Barbara Scott, working together with medical professionals, collating data and outcomes over a number of years.
Fertility and reproductive issues can be complex and may not have a single or obvious cause. Complementary and holistic therapists come to look at these issues by spending more time with an individual or couple to get an understanding of how their physical and emotional health may be impacting their fertility.
If you would like to read a bit more about this approach see their website.
The treatment programme starts with a detailed initial consultation in which I gather information regarding physical and emotional health, lifestyle factors as well as a complete history of your reproductive journey so far, including results of any medical tests etc. This will give us a strong starting point from which to work the relevant protocols during the reflexology treatments, and I will be able to give advice on any lifestyle changes that may be useful or any further testing that might be necessary.
Having recently completed part one of the reproflexology course which covers the pre-conceptual care programme for both men and women. I will be taking part two in November which covers supporting people with assisted conception.
